Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Everytime I reboot my pc and insert my AC adapter a pop up message appears saying could not find the wscript.exe script file. This is really annoying. Help me.

Did you recently do a virus scan and had anything removed?

According to Microsofts forum, this could cause the error.

There is a fix if so.

Type CMD into the Search Bar (Cortana) and when the Command Prompt appears, right click on it and choose Run as Administrator.

Copy and paste these lines one at a time and press the Enter key after each one...

md  "C:\ProgramData\WindowsAppCertification"

and then

cd  2>"C:\ProgramData\WindowsAppCertification\checker.vbs"

Reboot the computer and see if its fixed.

Yes i did scan my computer and removed some viruses some weeks ago. Thats when this all started to happen. But what is strange is that it only pops up when i connect my AC adapter. I ran your solutions but they didn't work.

That is strange. I would not have any idea why it happens. Something in the registry was most likely skewed when you did your virus removal or by the infection itself.

There are many ideas on the web on how to fix the error, most of which I don't have faith in.

Last resort, if you were truly infected, you might do better to simply reinstall the OS, rather rely on an antivirus. Doing so will reset everything to factory and start you  over.

IF you choose to do this, back up your data first.

F11 at startup will take you to the recovery.

Okay thanks. Will do
