This is one of our company laptops and we are supposed to certify to GSA and US Gov't that this machine contains none of the banned Chinese chips covered in Section 889 Legislation (5 Chinese Companies and 68 Subsidiaries).  What is the easiest way for us to show this laptop does not contain chips/components from these Chinese companies?  I would have thought HP would have put a bulletin, notice, or other advisory on service page to help with this since all Gov't Offices and Contractors have to comply.  Thanks, TG

Thanks, I only get the Virtual Chat Agent and regarding Chinese Chips or Section 889 Queries, the response is always "Sorry, we cannot answer your question.  Could you please try and rephrase the question?".  There is no phone number listed in HP help area.  With Dell, I sent in a helpdesk ticket with subject "regulatory compliance" and they replied with a letter that covered all of our Dell Models and stated none had used the Chinese Manufacturers impacted by the US Gov't ban.  I would think it would be pretty important for HP to start responding as well, since all USA Gov't Agencies and Contractors have to comply.  Thanks, Travis
