OMEN by HP 15-dh0136tx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have been facing severe heating issues on my laptop, and sometimes it is reaching above 100 degrees while gaming. When the temperature reaches that high all my games face performance issues by an enormous drop in FPS leading to a lag in play.

I am using an HP Omen laptop with an i7 9th gen and 1660ti graphics card. No matter what I do, just after 5-10minutes of gaming, the CPU temperature goes 95 plus and GPU temperature in 90-100 degrees.

I am recently upgrading BIOS, graphics software, and also replaced my PC battery.

I have also done undervolting, but it is just able to decrease 2-4 degrees in temperature.

Can anyone please tell me what to do and please don't include stuff like updating BIOS or any graphics software as I have done all those?

The specs of your machine is

It requires 200W PSU (charger). It runs at around 150W to 200W. Have you tried to touch to a normal 100W globe hen it is ON? Yes, HP Omen are running hot and one way to keep it cooler is to use a cooling pad. Please try

Hi Banhien,

I have been using cool pads since I bought my laptop as I like to play a lot. And all the overheating issues that I had mentioned are when my cooling pad is also on.

Is there any other method or ideas you have because the above mentioned are not working?
