My laptop has 16 GB of RAM which came pre-installed. Can I upgrade it to 32 GB? Does my laptop support this upgrade? Will it have any effect on the performance?

Hi:

Since your notebook has the  i7-7700HQ processor, it probably will support 2 x 16 GB of memory.

However the service manual indicates the max is 2 x 8 GB.

Go to your programs menu>windows administrative tools>resource monitor>click on the memory tab, and see how much memory your notebook is using.

If you have more than 50% of memory free, then you probably would not benefit that much by adding additional memory.
