Was wondering what the max capacity for the laptop was on the hard drive

Whatever type of drive your notebook has installed, will only have the capacity of the installed drive.

 

The service manual lists the drive capacities offered in the model series but that is normally just what HP offered, not the maximum capacity supported.

 

What is the product number of your PC?

 

To find the product number for your PC, click on the search icon on your Windows taskbar.

 

Type: System Information

 

The System information app should show up.

 

Run the app and the product number of your PC will be found on the System SKU line about 1/4 of the way down on the report.
