Ssd slot

I want to buy an Hp Pavilion 15-bc414nq and as far as i see, it has only 1TB hdd. I need more speed so i want to buy a SSD. I can't find in the specs if it has any SSD slots neither if the SSD it's m.2 SATA or m.2 PCI express.

Yes you should have one PCIe, NVMe, TLC, M.2 slot.

Look at page 2.

We recommend that you remove the Base Enclosure to make sure the slot is there.

I saw that in the manual for the models: Model numbers: 15-bc400~15-bc499 at page 10, in the hard drive section we have these options: 

Supports all 7 mm/7.2 mm/9.5 mm, SATA 2.5-inch hard drives

Supports M.2 SATA storage

Accelerometer/Hard drive protection support

Single hard drive configurations

1 TB, 5400 rpm, 9.5 mm/7.2 mm

Dual storage configurations

1 TB, 5400 rpm, 9.5 mm/7.2 mm hard drive + 128 GB SATA, TLC, M.2 solid-state drive

I would like to add a 128 ssd to this laptop, can you tell me if the m.2 slot has PCIe x4 capabilities? Or the m.2 slot is SATA only (this means that the SSD will have SATA speeds)

16 GB (Optane memory) + 1 TB (5400) 9.5mm/7.2mm

Also the 16 or 32 GB Intel Optane Memory will be helpfull if the SSD is limited to SATA speeds. Can you tell me if the motherboard supports Intel Optane Memory acceleration?

**bleep** ziceam, am revenit. Am instalat ssd m.2 sata3. Merge bine, nu are nici o problema. Ssd-ul meu nu a avut nici un surub si am luat unu de la cutia din spatele laptopului, surub cu care am prins ssd-ul de placa de baza.
