OMEN by HP - 15-dc0029np
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi

i have the same issue reported here:

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Strange-noise-from-HP-Omen-lap...

And i've updated all drivers, including the chipset ones, but the noise is still here whenever i connect the power plug. It is not loud, but it is noticeable in a quiet room when the fans are not on. Im  not really sure what else to do.

Any answer is appreciate

Daniel

As you mentioned the issue started after some driver updates, It could be a Software related issue

Since this is a new Notebook, I suggest you perform a reset and that will help us narrow down the issue

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

Did you get a chance to try with a different Ac Adapter? Does the performance drop when the noise starts?

I suggest you download the BIOS from this Link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/omen-by-hp-15-dc0000-laptop-pc/20329817/model/24596...

Let me know how it goes

Thank you and have a wonderful day 😊

Hi,

thank you for replying. I forgot to mention that I already had done some troubleshooting, including updating the BIOS. The sound has gone quieter, but it's still present.

Since this is the only HP laptop I own, I cant test it with another powerbrick, but i dont believe that is the issue since I got the laptop less than a week ago and it didnt made any noise then. It started after I updated some drivers.
No, the performance stays the exact same.
If there is anything else I can try to do, please share it, i would appreciate it

Thanks again for the reply
