Hello !

Basically for the game Call of Duty ,i ran into this exact issue https://x.com/CODUpdates/status/1956098514653733054

to explain it briefly :

I installed the latest bios firmware available, but my TPM 2.0 isn't being detected by the game due to a TPM Attestation Failure error (error code 0x80070490)

My Manufacturer version  is : 3.93.0.5

i also downloaded and applied the latest BIOS version available for my laptop so there is nothing else i can do except to wait for HP to hopefully work on a new BIOS update to fix this

More context about this error : https://www.amd.com/en/resources/support-articles/faqs/pa-420.html

Other people who ran into the same issue asked their Mobo manufacturers like ASUS and they worked on a new BIOS that fixed it pretty fast https://x.com/jrodfoo/status/1958967186170507361

Edit : 8 September 2025 , MSI has issued an update to fix the issue as well https://x.com/CODUpdates/status/1965128288982237516

Thank you

Hopefully this gets noticed.

I really doubt HP is going to come out with a firmware update to fix this issue. Last time Ill ever buy an HP product as their support team has been terrible and then told me to pay 100 dollars to even speak to them. It looks like ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI etc.. have all come out with fixes for this issue.

The upcoming Black ops 7 beta in Oct 2nd is gonna require TPM 2.0 aswell and we still don't have an update..

Yeah same

I have "OMEN Laptop 15-en1036AX" with R7 5800H with BIOS F.29 Rev.A with TPM 2.0 version 3.93.0.5

I guess we'll miss this Beta on PC.

I have a PS5 where I'll play the Beta but playing on PC would have been better.
