HP OMEN15 DC1044NA
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

So when im gaming, this ususally doesnt happen or has only happened once or twice. However browsing the desktop and doing basic things randomly triggers the laptop to 'lock' then come up with the black screen saying terminal shutdown occured system temperature (90D).

Ive got throttlestop running the power down to 35W because at the default 45w to the cpu gets ridicously hot... so this allows me to get a good 70-80 celcius while gaming and 40-50 on desktop.
when the crash occurs the temperatre reads a max of 85

so i dont understand why its doing this, if the temps were nearing 100 i would understand but they are relatively cool.

running the latest BIOS update also.

Anyone know whats causing this? or is it faulty unit.
thanks

Spoke to HP support on WhatsApp and recommended deleting the windows software distribution folder and haven’t had any crashes since then.

So hopefully that fixed it! Thankyou
