OMEN by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop 16-n0000 (63B17AV)

I have an OMEN by HP 16-n0xxx laptop. The right-side cooling fan has started making loud rattling noises, which is getting worse. The issue began while my laptop was still under warranty, but the warranty has recently expired. I have already tried cleaning the fan and vents, but the noise persists.

I would like to request a repair or replacement of the cooling fan. Can you please help me arrange for a technician or guide me on the next steps?

@Shubhampaul,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

The part number for a replacement fan kit for your OMEN by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop 16-n0000 (63B17AV) is: N14087-001 "FAN CPU/GPU 80W" for use in models with 6650M, 3060, 3070 graphics (includes both fans), which you can purchase via AliExpress: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3256808159339876.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.1.2852qDTbqDTbYE&al..., or N14086-001 "FAN CPU/GPU 60W" for use in models with 3050, 3050Ti graphics (includes both fans). Unfortunately, I could not locate a purchase option for this part kit for you in your country.

However, here are eBay-US links where one can purchase the CPU and GPU fans separately via a PRC Seller:

N14086-001 CPU Fan: https://www.ebay.com/itm/286302049818?_skw=N14086-001&itmmeta=01JW4WW9P0D2HG9CNPY87CF5FC&hash=item42....

N14086-001 GPU Fan: https://www.ebay.com/itm/286302050937?_skw=N14086-001&itmmeta=01JW4WW9P0N71RCEQ1Q4K06VXC&hash=item42....

BTW: it is generally recommended that when one cooling fan fails, to replace both fans.

Kind Regards,

@Shubhampaul,

Since your warranty expired, you'll have to buy and replace the fan(s) yourself.  This is not too difficult to do -at least in my opinion.  Here is a bona fide HP YouTube instructional video how to do that (timestamp 14:10): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1c3422Y2wA&ab_channel=HPSupport.
