Hi @sterbe666,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

For the HP OMEN 15.6-inch Gaming Laptop PC 15-en1000 series (including the 15-en1010ua model), the optimal thermal pad thickness depends on the components you are targeting (CPU, GPU, VRAM, etc.). For most laptops in the OMEN 15 series, the typical thermal pad thickness is around.

  • 1.0 mm to 1.5 mm for the CPU and GPU areas.
  • 0.5 mm to 1.0 mm for the VRAM and other smaller components.

These are general recommendations, and it’s important to confirm with a teardown of your specific laptop if possible or consult the service manual for exact measurements. Using a thermal pad that's too thick or too thin can affect cooling performance.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
