Hello,
I hope somebody can help me.
I have the following setop
Laptop with Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C with the lightning symbol) with a GTX 1060:
Monitor "Dell S3220 DGF" with a simple, normal Display Port.
I bought the folloing cable with that:
https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B075V27G2R/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
In my opinion a Thunderbolt 3 to Display Port cable.
The isse is, that the Monitor just stays black, as there is no cable at all.
I think it should work, right?
I am running out of ideas.
Is there a reason why its not working?
Regards
Dennis

The specs of your machine is
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05545248
How many external monitors you are using now ? If only one, why wasting a valuable port for monitor. Machine already has 2 other ports which are for external monitors.
Looks like this is a compatible issue. HP own USB-C to DP adapter is not compatible with HP Omen machines, they are not on the list:
