I have an HP Laptop 15z-en1000 running the latest version of Windows 11. I have installed all updates available from both Windows Update and HP Support Assistant, and there are no unknown devices showing in Device Manager.
I am attempting to connect my Omen to a Dell TB26 Thunderbolt 3 dock, which I know to be working. It functions properly when connected to a Dell laptop with Thunderbolt 3 and has received all of its firmware updates available as of today.
But when I plug in the dock (first to power, then the Omen), the light on the dock's plug (which signifies a connection) does not illuminate and the Omen does not acknowledge its presence.
Everything that I've read suggests that this dock should work with non-dell laptops, so long as they support Thunderbolt 3. My Omen, as you can see in the picture, has a thunderbolt symbol by its USB C port ( which I also know to be working, as it detects other USB C devices when connected there). That said, I can't find a Thunderbolt Controller driver in Device Manager, and no thunderbolt drivers are present on the product page on support.hp.com.
The product page is pretty unhelpful when it comes to looking up my specifications, too. It has spec sheets for dozens of Omen 15-en1000xx models, and nowhere can I find what the last two characters of my model number are supposed to be. They don't appear in HP Support Assistant, the Product Page, or on the bottom of the laptop. Even the order confirmation email from back in 2021 when I bought this laptop fails to mention it (nor does it mention Thunderbolt 3 or USB in the specifications).
I've tried installing other thunderbolt drivers for other HP laptops or the Intel NUC, and though these give me access to the thunderbolt control center, still the laptop does not detect the dock.
At this point, I don't understand what's going on. Is this a mislabeling of the port and my laptop doesn't have thunderbolt after all? Or do I have some driver issue I'm not able to figure out?

What actually is your machine ? For example
The USB-C it NOT a Thunderbolt™ 3 port.
