Unsure if this is the right board to put this in, as the desktop I'm using falls under this category.

For months I have been trying to free up as much space as possible on my Victus laptop by removing files, apps, deleting caches and everything. But barely anything changes and my storage space is bloating out of control to the point where I'm unable to figure out what to do next. For context, I have the Epic Games Launcher, Steam, and 2 other games installed. Any way to thoroughly clean up unnecessary large files and programs I'm unable to find on said laptop? Thanks

Follow these steps:

  1. First Start with Windows' Disk Cleanup for system files often missed in basic scans. Search for "Disk Cleanup" in the Start menu, select your C: drive, then click "Clean up system files." Check boxes for Windows Update Cleanup, Temporary files, Delivery Optimization Files, and DirectX Shader Cache, these can free 10-30GB on gaming laptops.
  2. Press Win+R, type %temp%, hit Enter, select all (Ctrl+A), and delete (skip locked files).
  3. If you have any paused game downloads in launchers like Steam or Epic Games (even at just 1%), they still take up the full game size on your drive despite not being complete. Head to each launcher, find those paused ones, and uninstall them to free up that massive hidden space right away.

Thanks for some clarification.

HOWEVER, it only just scratches the surface of my problem. To clarify, I have only 13.1 GB remaining out of the 237 GB I have on my laptop. It's still out of control and i can't seem to find the hidden files that are plaguing my storage. Any way to find hidden files on my PC?

Try these, i found them online:
Using File Explorer
  1. Open File Explorer and select This PC.
  2. In the search bar, type size:>1GB (or size:>500MB) to search for large files.
  3. Wait for the results to load. This method lets you find large files on disk in Windows 11.

Clear browser cache:

Chrome

  1. Go to Settings  Privacy and security  Clear browsing data.
  2. Select Cached images and files and any other data you want to remove.

Firefox

  1. Go to Settings  Privacy & Security  Cookies and Site Data  Clear Data.

Edge

  1. Go to Settings  Privacy, search, and services  Clear browsing data.
