Omen 15-dc1093tx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have been said that my laptop display supports 144hz  refresh rate.

I am trying to set it to 144 Hz by doing below procedure.

Open Settings >> System > Display >> Advanced display settings >> Display adapter properties for Display 1

After this, Property opens and below properties are set by default and unable to change.

1. Adapter type is set to Intel HD graphics

2. Monitor is showing as Generic PnP Monitor and only 40 and 50 Hz refresh rate available to select.

3. Tired updating the display driver, it says it is already updated to the latest.
4. Changed some settings in NVIDIA graphics controller, but changes happened.
5. In NVIDIA graphics controller settings, it is showing as Laptop display is connected to Intel UHD graphics 630.
6. I have changed PhysX settings to GeForce GTX 1650 and still not working

Please let me know what are the right changes to do in order to get the 144 HZ refresh rate for laptop display.

The specs of your machine is

   https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06362630

It ONLY has  15.6" diagonal FHD IPS anti-glare micro-edge WLED-backlit (1920 x 1080).

My machine which is 13 months old, its specs

    https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06095817

which clearly says it has

     15.6" diagonal FHD 144 Hz IPS anti-glare micro-edge WLED-backlit (1920 x 1080)

It short, the screen of your machine does NOT auooprt 144Hz.

Regards.
