Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I plan to undervolt my cpu i7 7700hq on my hp omen 17-an053nr. What's the lowest voltage may I set it at without effecting my gaming? "My CPU temp gets to 97 Celsius."

I reviewed your post and I understand that you want to under volt the CPU.

 

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

 

I recommend you update the BIOS and the graphics driver from the below link and check if it helps reduce the temperature.

HP doesn’t recommend under volting the CPU and you can do so at your own discretion.

The one program I know that can undervolt your CPU is Throttlestop. For the HP Omen 15 DH00XX (the laptop I own) series for instance, I recommend undervolting by 130mV (0.130v), gave me good performance in Red Dead Redemption 2, and seemed like the best compromise between thermal and gaming performance.
