Hello,

I currently have an OMEN by HP - 15-dc0014nk with no SDD and a 1 To HDD, and i want to add an SDD to my current HDD,how do i know if my system supports that? and how can i transfer my windows license into my sdd then ? (i want to install the system on the sdd and keep the hdd for the storage)

Yes, actually I always use Clone software to transfer old HDD to new SSD

The series supports dual storage with M.2 NVMe SSD and normal 2.5" HDD. My machine which is an HP 15-dc0071tx has

 

  • 256 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD  (it is a Samsung MZVW256HEHP-000H1)
  • 1 TB 7200 rpm SATA

You can add 256GB or 512GB or 1TB to your machine using Samsung (as above) or 970 EVO series.
