HP omen 15 gaming notebook

I have the 15 inch omen gaming laptop and I was wondering if I upgraded the nvme: m.2 ssd, will I need to buy windows again or it will already activate it once I reinstall os, also what ssd can you guys recommend, I was thinking of getting wd black series 500gb ssd.

What is your hp omen 15 dc 2018 ? Anyway, I'm using my machine which is an HP Omen 15-dc0071tx to answer your question. My machine has dual storage

You can safely use Samsung 970 EVO M.2 NVMe SSD drive or Crucial

        https://www.crucial.com/ssd/p5/ct1000p5ssd8/ct18124197                    (1TB)

        https://www.crucial.com/ssd/p5/ct500p5ssd8/ct18121060                       (500GB)

 

You can install Windows 10 to SSD and it will activate itself automatically when online using Windows License key in BIOS of your machine
