Hello, I would like to upgrade my laptop OMEN by HP - 17-w203nl (Prod ID 1DN40EA#ABZ) from the standard configuration
SSD 256 Gb
HDD 1 Tb
RAM 16 Gb
to a new configuration
SSD 1 Tb (or 512 Gb)
HDD 2 Tb
RAM 32 Gb
Obviously using compatible hardware and replacing exiisting ones.
Is it possible? Anyone with previous experience?
Thanks.

Hello @Albertococco
- SSD 1 Tb (or 512 Gb) Yes
- HDD 2 Tb Yes
- RAM 32 Gb Yes
- That system is compatible with M.2 NVMe SSDs. I assume you have 2-8GB sticks now. You can use 2-16GB sticks, but buy them together in a matched pair set. The system will only utilize 2400Mhz ram, so don't waste money on faster memory.
- No limit to the drive size for either type of drive with the exception of the HDD bay. It wont hold a really big drive like that exceeds 9mm thickness, but a 2TB drive will be fine.
- The manual claims the W200 series will only use up to 16GB because that's what HP shipped it with. BUT other users have successfully upgraded to 32GB since the chipset will allow it.
