Hello, I have two questions. I want to add 16GB of RAM to my system. Won't my CPU and GPU bottleneck 24GB of RAM? Is this a good option https://www.komputronik.pl/product/420581/goodram-16gb-1x16gb-2400mhz-ddr4-cl17-sodimm-.html?utm_sou... ? Thank you for your answers.

I was curious why you needed 24GB when 16 is just fine for gaming?

The cpu/gpu wont bottle neck your ram, but you should match the frequencies to ensure you get dual channel support.

Technically speaking, for two RAM sticks to perform optimally together, they need to use the same voltage and their controllers should play well with each other and the motherboard. That’s why it’s best to use the same model in both slots. But we don't always have that option and using non-matching brands isn't bad necessarily. But to ensure Dual channel is working correctly, it helps. That would be your only drawback.

I have no way of knowing if that stick of ram will work correctly as I don't know what the current stick is.

You need to run a program like Speccy or CPUz and see what the current rams timings are, then look for another stick that matches.

Thank you, I think I have this stick https://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/dram/module/M471A1K43CB1-CRC/. I use CAD so I was just thinking that the more I'll upgrade RAM the better.
