HI,
I purchased the HP Pavilion gaming laptop15-ec1002na last week for my college work (and play). I knew it came with 8gb of ram, and i wanted to upgrade it to 16gb or 32gb. After looking online i could not find the manual on what i can install.
I have looked on YouTube and have watched for various modles of this laptop being opened and ram installed, but not my actual model. I wanted to know if i purchase ddr4 3200MHZ (in my choice of size) that i am not purchasing the incorect versions etc.
Will be getting an ssd to go in the drive bay at somepoint, but im good on knowing what to get there 😊
Thanks for the help.

Hi:
Below is the link to the manuals page for your notebook's model series.
HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ec1000 Laptop PC series Manuals | HP® Customer Support
HP only has the service manual for the older 15-ec0xxx model series but chapter 1 of the manual indicates the older model series can support 2 x 16 GB of memory, so yours should also be able to support 2 x 16 GB of DDR4-3200 memory.
This would be a compatible 8 GB memory chip for your notebook...
Crucial 8GB DDR4-3200 SODIMM | CT8G4SFRA32A | Crucial UK
This would be a compatible 16 GB memory chip for your notebook...
