I want to upgrade the SSD with Samsung 990 Pro PCIe4 NVMe M.2 SSD - 1TB.
Laptop Model: 15-an031ng
I want to make sure before buying a Samsung 990 pro SSD, that my Laptop will support it or not?
Thank you in advance,

Unfortunately, your model doesn't come with an M.2 slot.
HP specs indicate your model came with a 2.5" hard drive.
Your only option would be to replace the 1 TB 2.5" hard drive with a 2.5" SATA SSD, which is much faster than a hard drive. You can get something like this.
Amazon.com: Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E1T0B/AM) : Electronics
Your service manual wrongly states your model comes with an M.2 slot that supports SATA SSDs.

But actually, 15-an0xx model series has no M2 slot. See this thread for the folks' comments.
