Omen 15 2018 gxt 1060 16G
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hello

My omen i7 1060 16gigs is very hot when I play, for example when I play CS GO, the temperatures go to 80/90 degrees .. I was advised to put a second channel, more 16 gigs of RAM and changing the thermal mass, will this help to reduce temperatures? What difference will RAM make?

Even very small but RAM will add more heat to your machine PHYSICALLY. You can feel the heat when touch to running RAM. therefore adding more RAM won't make machine cooler.

"changing the thermal mass", well depending on many factors, I can't tell BUT I know for sure, using cooling pad may reduce up to 10-12C

Thanks for the quick response..

I'm going to opt for a second channel (16gbx2), I'm kind of new to this, can someone tell me if it's safe to overclock, to go from 2666 to 3200mhz? It will not be done by me but by a technician.. I can't find on internet any 16gbx2 ddr4 overclocked
