@Zyrsbred, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding "bypass charging"!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

When you say bypass charging, are you looking to run your Victus 15 (FA2728TX) directly on AC power without charging the battery, or do you mean controlling how much the battery charges (like stopping at 80%)?

A couple of quick things to help us guide you better:

Are you trying this for gaming sessions to reduce heat and protect battery health?

Or are you noticing your laptop is charging in a way that doesn’t feel right (like it won’t stop at full, or charges very slowly)?

This will help us figure out if we’re talking about settings, software, or a possible hardware quirk. 💡

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!

I apologize for my incomplete query. By bypass charging, I meant to ask if it draws power directly from AC at 100%? Because I always keep it plugged in at home unless when browsing. I fear the battery health will continue to drop quickly if it isn't. Thank you.
