Hi @Nicslabbert

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thank you for already seeking help and checking with a service provider—it’s frustrating to be told a part isn’t available, especially when it’s just one key.

For the HP Victus 16-s0xxx, the keyboard is a single integrated unit—individual keys like “D” cannot be replaced separately. The full keyboard assembly must be replaced.

Let’s walk through how you can source the correct keyboard and move forward with confidence.

Identify the Exact Keyboard Part Number

  • Visit the official HP Parts Store for the UK:
    https://parts.hp.com/hpparts/default.aspx?cc=GB&lang=EN
  • In the search bar, enter your Product ID: ZTR79US#ARA or Victus 16-s0xxx.
  • If prompted, allow the site to detect your device or manually enter the product details.
  • Look for the keyboard assembly listed under “Input Devices” or “Keyboard.”

Check for Regional Keyboard Layout

  • Ensure the replacement keyboard matches your layout (e.g., UK English).
  • Some models may have backlit and non-backlit variants—match this to your original configuration.

If the Part Is Unavailable

  • Use the part number found on the HP Parts Store to search through trusted third-party suppliers:

Installation Considerations

  • Replacing the keyboard on the Victus 16-s0xxx typically involves removing the bottom cover, battery, and possibly the motherboard to access the keyboard from underneath.
  • If you’re comfortable with hardware repairs, HP provides service guides for many models. Otherwise, a local technician can install the part once you provide it.

Helpful HP Resource:

Let me know if you’d like help identifying the part number from your serial or product number, or if you’d like to explore compatible third-party options. We’ll get that “D” key back in action with a full keyboard refresh.
