Hello HP Support Team

I just bought today a Victus fb3093 and the touchpad doesn't work at all.

Neither does in Windows or BIOS. I've have done all the troubleshooting steps, updated all that can be updated and nothing solves the issue.

A USB mouse function perfectly.

So i'll be waiting for your comments

Regards

Hi @Resonf1re,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding touchpad issues on the HP Victus FB3093!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Enable Touchpad in Windows Settings:

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Touchpad.
  • Ensure that the touchpad is enabled. Sometimes it can be turned off accidentally.

Check Device Manager:

  • Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
  • Expand the Mice and other pointing devices section.
  • Check for the touchpad entry. If it has a yellow exclamation mark or is not listed, it may be disabled or need a driver update.
  • Right-click the touchpad entry and select Enable if applicable.

BIOS Settings:

  • Restart your laptop and enter BIOS settings by pressing Esc or F10 during startup.
  • In the BIOS menu, check if the touchpad is enabled. If it's disabled or not visible, restoring BIOS defaults may correct the issue.

Hardware Test:

  • Conduct a hardware diagnostic test to rule out physical issues. Use the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics tool by pressing Esc during startup, and select F2 for diagnostics.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Shutdown the laptop.
  • Disconnect all peripherals and the power adapter.
  • Hold the power button for about 15 seconds.
  • Restart and check if the touchpad works.

I hope this helps.
