Microsoft Windows 11

I recently purchased this laptop and have come to realize that the integrated display is not G-Sync compatible. I am looking to purchase a secondary external monitor and I am curious as to whether I can use the USB C port on the laptop (which claims to have Display Port 1.4 capabilities) as a connection to the external monitor. Is this port powered by the Dedicated GPU( RTX 4060) and will I be able to use features such as G-Sync? Similarly, could I use an external monitor via a docking station and still get the same results?

Any helpful information is highly appreciated.

Its specs

               https://www.hp.com/emea_africa-en/products/laptops/product-details/product-specifications/2101695681

It has  1 USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4a, HP Sleep and Charge) port which supports BOTH PD and Alt mode therefore you can

  • Charge your machine using a compatible USB-C charger with wattage rating 70W or more
  • Connect it to an external monitor. You should be able to use a docking station. such as HP USB-C G5

Regards.
