Hi @Dan664,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear about the issue with your Victus gaming laptop. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem.
Check the Power Supply
- Ensure the power adapter is properly connected to both the laptop and the power socket.
- Try using a different power cable or adapter, if available, to rule out an issue with the charging equipment.
Perform a Hard Reset
- Unplug the power adapter from the laptop.
- Hold down the power button for 15-20 seconds to discharge any residual power.
- Reconnect the power adapter and try turning it on again.
Check the Battery
- If your laptop has a removable battery, take it out and hold down the power button for 15-20 seconds again.
- Reinsert the battery and plug the laptop into the power source, then try turning it on.
Try a Different Outlet
- If possible, try plugging the laptop into a different outlet to rule out an issue with the socket.
Inspect for Indicator Lights
- Look for any lights on the laptop when you try turning it on (such as power or charging LEDs). If these are not lighting up, it could indicate a hardware issue.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
