I purchased a Victus gaming laptop in December 2022 for my nephew. By December 2023 within the warranty period I had to send the laptop back to HP and they replaced the motherboard. Essentially 1.5 yrs after the motherboard was replaced the laptop is malfunctioning and may need a new motherboard. Are you manufacturing Victus laptops with defective motherboards? I am hesitant to replace the motherboard spending an additional $500 since I do not trust your product and wonder if it will fail again within 1-2 years. This is my second HP product that has limited longevity. Maybe your company needs to stick to printers. Issues started with blue screens appearing with different error codes. I took the laptop to Geek Squad where the OS was replaced/refreshed, drivers updated, etc. Blue screens continued and the computer froze, no one could tell me why. I took it back and the hard drive was wiped and reinstalled and during diagnostics it appears that the issue may be with hardware. Additionally overheating has been an issue with playing games such as Gary's mod, Beam NG drive. I think it is ridiculous to offer suggestions like cooling pads or elevating the laptop, it should be manufactured to avoid overheating while playing games. In dealing with HP customer support I have been unable to understand what is said causing me to call back and spoke to a supervisor who had the audacity to tell me he had never heard of this issue ever-he must not check the HP community board. I am still not able to get an answer regarding if I can pay to send in the laptop so HP can run diagnostics to confirm if the issue is really with the motherboard. I spent close to $1000 for a laptop that is really junk.
