Product: HP Pavilion Gaming - 15-ec0013dx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

So, I know the laptop mentioned in the title has a USB-C that is data transfer only. I'm trying to get an HDMI dongle to work, but it won't.

 

But what's confusing is that I already had been using a portable monitor with the device through the same port, and It's a monitor that only works with DP Alt Mode...so how did that work, then? What's di

You did it. You caught me. I get my kicks from going on HP forums and lying about my issues for attention. You're so right to not believe it. Because why else would I make up such a ridiculous tale of it working and thus leading me here to try and find some answers.
