I have been having this issue for days if not weeks, I tried a ton of solutions and nothing seem to work. Here's the rundown:
- Keyboard itself looks fine, checked the keycaps, clean and functions as it should
- Safe mode has the same issue but not BIOS keyboard test
- I do not have an external keyboard to test with nor can I buy one
- I have already uninstalled the drivers, repaired windows, changed a ton of power settings, ran programs like HP support assistant and hp pc hardware diagnostics as well as a ton of troubleshooters and driver updater/checkers with no avail.
- This issue is worse for the S X keys then W key, other keys work fine to my knowledge.
- I ran programs like WPR, WPA and latencymon. did not get too far as some dropdowns did not show enough data.

I am a student, I need this laptop to function properly it's been days trying to fix this and I do not have the money to afford repairs or replacements, I really need help to get to the bottom of this.

edit: i even ran a full scan using Microsoft security, no threats.

It sounds like you’re dealing with a frustrating issue, and I agree with the points shared in the discussion. Often these gaming notebook problems come down to outdated drivers, thermal limits, or a BIOS setting that needs adjusting mesolyft.com. A clean reinstall of the graphics drivers or checking performance modes in the HP Command Center can make a noticeable difference visagesculpture.com. It also helps to monitor temps while gaming to spot any throttling. Hopefully one of these steps points you in the right direction.
