It looks like the option is not available in the BIOS and the settings seem to be correct. Have you enabled Hyper V in Windows? If not, here is how it is done.

  1. In Control Panel, select Programs and Features.

  2. Select Turn Windows features on or off.

  3. Expand Hyper-V, expand Hyper-V Platform, and then check the Hyper-V Hypervisor check box.

Let me know how if it helps.

Cheers!

Hi @The_Fossette,

That is the issue in the first place, if I enable it, I am unable to shutdown the machine, I have to force shutdown by holding the power button (this happens when I have installed OS from Media Creation Tool). With the HP recovery tool, the laptop crashes with a BSOD when Hyper V is enabled.

Please perform the test on the same model I am using and you will get the same issue. As pointed out by previous post by @TechnoDisaster, there are other people who are facing BSOD after enabling the HyperV feature.

Thanks.

I recommend you contact support to further diagnose the issue.

Here is how you can get in touch with support.

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

Cheers!

@The_Fossette

Can you please take a look at this

Hi @The_Fossette,

It would be nice if you could convey this message to the correct team instead of pointing me to go over all the hassle we had to the another support person. BTW, I did have a WhatsApp chat and it went all back to square one with what we discussed. Instead of stalling us, can you please point the team to add the UMA feature to BIOS? That way, everyone can be happy.

I am not satisfied with the support and I wish that this gets resolved soon.

Thanks.

I tried calling and asking for support via whatsapp too. extremely disappointed with the response. The HP guy  just said, "We are not supporting any virtualization related issue". And asked me to go to the service centre for some reason.
