OMEN by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-wf0000 (755G4AV)

Hello,
I have an HP laptop and the warranty expired at the end of April 2025. I would like to know if it's still possible to extend the warranty after the expiration date. If yes, could someone please guide me on how I can purchase or apply for the extended warranty? Also, are there any specific conditions or limitations I should be aware of for post-expiration warranty extension?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi @Charanjeev,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thank you for reaching out regarding your OMEN by HP 16.1" Gaming Laptop PC (16-wf0000 series).

We’ve looked into your request about extending your warranty, and here are the key details:

Warranty Extension Eligibility

  • If your device is only covered by the original factory warranty, and that warranty has just recently expired, it may still be possible to check for extension options depending on your region and device condition.
  • However, if an HP Care Pack or extended warranty has already been purchased previously, no additional extensions can be applied beyond the current coverage.

Conditions Required for Warranty Extension

To be eligible for an extension, the following must apply:

  • The PC must be in working condition — it should boot properly without hardware issues.
  • There should be no physical damage, such as dents, cracks, broken parts, or signs of liquid/accidental damage.
  • Devices with existing faults or damage cannot be covered under a new warranty plan.

This is because HP extended warranties are only offered on fully functional, undamaged systems — they cannot be applied retroactively to cover pre-existing issues.

Use HP Support Assistant to Check Eligibility

If HP Support Assistant is installed on your laptop, it can help check available warranty options directly:

  • Open the HP Support Assistant app (preinstalled on most HP devices)
  • Go to the “Warranty and Services” section
  • It will display your current warranty status and whether any Care Pack options are still available

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
