I bought a new laptop and when i registered it on hp website it showed that the warranty period is just 9 months. Does that mean that the seller cheated and sold me a used laptop because i know that the warranty period is 1 year

Hi:

For whatever reason, HP starts the warranty clock ticking the minute the notebook leaves the assembly plant.

So the longer the PC sits in a reseller's warehouse, the less time remains on the warranty.

You have two ways to get the warranty start and end dates corrected.

1. Submit an online warranty dispute form.

2. Contact HP customer services in Egypt and have the warranty start and end dates corrected.
