Water spilled over mouse pad , now mouse is auto positioning here and there , what to do

The little amount of water spilled over mouse pad accidentaly, now mouse is auto positioning it's location pointer  here and there.

What to do ?

Let it dry out and hope it recovers.  It might do so.

Don't put the computer in the oven - I know this sounds obvious but we do see the recommendation on occasion.

The only other "fix" is to open the unit and replace / repair any damaged components.

No, the standard Warranty does not cover this type of user inflicted / accidental damage.
