What can be damaged (other than the hard drive) in a laptop from vibration and light shocks?

@sergal3 , welcome back to the forum.

 

I have reviewed the components of your laptop and believe that the only two components that could be affected as you state are the DVD Writer (less likely) and the Hard Drive.

 

What are the symptoms that you are experiencing?
