What is the maximum ram I can upgrade my HP OMEN - 15-dc0010ca to?

I have 12 Gb, but need 32 Gb.
Also what kind of rams or brand will fit ? ( DDR4-2666 or 2400 M  , 3200  SODIMM or some other specs need to be considered ?I read something about XMP and JEDEC profiles compatibility ,not sure what is this )

Once i'll have all this done, Are they any updates or any configuration i'll need to do to make my pc work correctly with the new component?

Thanks a lot for the Help !!

Hi:

That slight difference wouldn't matter.

All notebook memory is classified as SODIMM, and the 2666 MHz is PC4-21300 regardless of whether it is so specified.

Hi:

Below is the link to the Crucial memory report for your notebook.

https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hp---compaq/hp-omen-15-dc0010ca

It can support 2 x 16 GB of memory.

The processor your notebook has supports 2666 MHz memory.  Installing a faster speed will just bridge to 2666 MHz since that is the fastest speed the processor your notebook has can run the memory at.

Thank you very much for your help.

Could you be so kind to give me one more suggestions .

I found thees two rams on crucial website ,the tittle is the same but the Configuration ID and  price are different .

Could you tell me which of those two is the best for my machine ?

You're very welcome.

If it were me, I would go with the one that costs less and it is also specifically recommended for your notebook.

That way if there is some unforeseen issue, you should have no problem returning it.

The first link you posted is for a similar model that is sold in the United States...

This part is 100% compatible with HP OMEN 15-dc0020nr

You're very welcome.

The first kit seems to be a new product.  I have never seen that part number before.

The second one has been around for quite a while.

Since they are both listed as compatible, I would go with the cheaper new product.

I would have no idea if one would perform better than the other.

They seem to have the exact same specs unless I am missing something.

I checked list of full specification of both and there is a difference . The second one ,which is around for quite long time has in the list

       -PC Speed - PC4-2666

       - Form Factor - SODIMM

And new one hase

    -PC Speed - PC4-21300

I am not sure if ti matters.
