What is the right way to charge your gaming omen notebook ( built in batteries ) all the day

Hello

That has been a controversial topic on the internet. Ill answer as best I can from what HP has taught me.

Your Omen laptop has built in circuitry that will not let the battery overcharge. IF you are using it as a desktop PC for work, you should leave the charger cord plugged in all day. Constantly charging and discharging the battery will only bring it to its end of life faster from all of the recycles.  HP also recommends that if you are not going to use the laptop for two weeks or more, to go ahead and unplug the cord.

My rule of thumb is, I plug it in during the day and unplug it at night if not in use.

thank you so much for your answer, I have a little concern, I was talking with one of technical support and he told me to just unplug the charger when it reaches to 100% and so on all the day, what is the right answer?

"one of technical support and he told me to just unplug the charger when it reaches to 100% and so on all the day,"

Actually that is wrong. Now you are introducing the battery to those constant charge/drain recycles I refered to and that will bring your battery to its end of life faster.

Leaving it plugged in during the day while using it will not hurt the battery.

If you need to move the laptop or take it with you to a meeting/coffee break somewhere, then unplug it and use it on battery.

There is actually a battery tender in the BIOS.. You can set the maximum charge to lower %..
I use 50% when I use my OMEN for a lot of desktop use, This will prolong the lifespan of the battery substantially... If you only use your battery in ocassions you can set it to 70%...
