Hi:

The product specs for your notebook indicates that it comes with a 512 GB NVMe SSD.

OMEN Laptop 15-ek1506nz Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support

You would want to buy a 1 TB NVMe SSD.

I recommend the Samsung 980 (not 980 Pro).

You're very welcome.

Why not the PRO?

The Pro would work but since your notebook's M.2 slot is only PCIe Gen 3, the more expensive PCIe Gen 4 SSD will not run at its maximum advertised speeds.

If you want to buy one of those anyway, that would be fine.

You may want to transfer it to a newer notebook that has a PCIe Gen 4 NVMe slot one day.
