I recently bought an OMEN Gaming Laptop 16-n0775ng with 16gb ram and am now looking to upgrade to 32gb or even better 64gb. I've already bought and installed 64gb ram from crucial but it doesn't seem to be properly supported and only runs at 2400hz even though the ram supports 4800hz. I'm sending the Crucial Ram back now. Which Ram is officially supported by HP and is it certified?

So I have now bought the same Ram SO-DIMM 16GB Samsung DDR5-4800 CL40 (2Gx8) SR
M425R2GA3BB0-CQKOL, which was previously installed only 2x 16gb instead of 2x8gb. The Ram still only runs at 2400HZ and I don't notice any difference in performance. Why doesn't the laptop use the possible 4800HZ?

a possibility, it depends on where the information is taken and how it will be interpreted
if you have twice 16 gb 2400
finally it can correspond to 2*2400=4800
the computer will not necessarily be more efficient with 32 gb of ram if not used!
