HP Notebook - 15-bs078nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Good day and thank you in advance for you response. I have an HP Notebook 15-bs078nr. Purchased in December 2018. I had absolutely no problems until 6 months ago. The fan started clicking and grinding lightly and then spinning out of control making a very loud sound in the process. I replaced the fan 2 months ago and here we are again making grinding noises particularly at low speeds. When the unit begins to heat up and the fan accelerates all sounds fine. I have reduced the fan speed from 100% to 40 percent but this is not resolving the issues. I also have a laptop cooling fan which I purchased to assist the fan which was replaced. Can someone tell me what may be going on. Has anyone else had this experience with the model?

Please do a clean install Audio software/driver, this should help.

(a) Download the following driver and save on your computer,
          https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp101001-101500/sp101041.exe
(b) Go to Device Manager, Sound to uninstall sound driver (Realtek) and reboot,
(c) Right click downloaded file and select Run as administrator,
(d) Reboot again.

Regards.

Thank you for your response. I attempted to install the driver however, I get the following message;

The driver is not supported on this OS version (10.0.18362).

I uninstalled my audio drivers. Downloaded new audio drivers from HP website performed clean install of new audio drivers. Performed a  system reboot. This still did not resolve my issue.
