Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The lack of a right ctrl key is a real problem for me. Several dev and audio programs I use need right ctrl key combinations for regularly used commands.  Why was it designed without a right ctrl key ?

Some other keys are in strange positions as well and the overall layout causes me to make lots of typo's for some reason. When I use other notebooks and keyboards I type quickly and pretty much error free but when I use this Omen I make lots of errors and I can't work out why. I've had it for several months and use it everyday and still can't get used to it.

I could plug in an external keyboard but that kinda defeats the point of it being a notepad / laptop.

Is there a way to remap the keys in Windows 10 (registry maybe, by user) or the firmware without installing additional software ?

if not, can anyone recommend some good key mapping software .

Thanks.
