@Shanikumar1, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the Wi-Fi issue!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your Victus by HP 15.6-inch Gaming Laptop (15-fa1000, 8B483AV) has been experiencing WiFi issues for the past one and a half months, try the following troubleshooting steps:

Power Reset (Hard Reset)

A power reset helps clear any residual charge that might be causing hardware issues.

Shut Down the Laptop:

  • Click on the Start menu > Power > Shut down.

Disconnect All Peripherals:

  • Unplug any USB devices, external drives, and the power adapter.

Remove the Battery (if removable):

  • If the battery is removable, take it out.

Press and Hold the Power Button:

  • Hold the power button for 15-20 seconds to drain residual charge.

Reconnect the Power Adapter & Battery (if removed):

  • Plug the power adapter back in (without peripherals).

Turn On the Laptop and check if WiFi is working.

Reset BIOS to Default Settings

Resetting BIOS can help if a configuration issue is affecting WiFi.

  1. Shut Down the Laptop.
  2. Turn It On and Enter BIOS:
    • Immediately press the F10 key repeatedly as soon as the HP logo appears.
  3. Load Default Settings:
    • In the BIOS menu, press F9 (or look for “Load Setup Defaults”).
    • Select Yes to confirm.
  4. Save and Exit:
    • Press F10 to save changes and exit BIOS.
    • Select Yes and restart the laptop.

Let me know if it helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
