Hello @Snickerz
Could you tell us what the full product number is?
Go to the Start menu and navigate to the HP Support Assistant. Run it and the product number is usually at the bottom of the window.
Did you go to the Device Manager and look for the adapter under Network Adapters to see if it shows up there?
Example: mine is Realtek...
If it does not show up there, you could try installing the driver and see if it magically works again. If not, you might have a bad card or even possibly its not fully connected into the port on the motherboard. You could open the case and take a look if its there.
Otherwise, is this a system you can take back to the store for an exchange? If not, I can have an HP rep try to contact you from here.
Let me know what you find.
