Microsoft Windows 11

Hello, strange sound problem since the switch to Windows 11.

My laptop is OMEN by HP - 17-cb0002ca. (link to drivers: OMEN by HP - 17-cb0002ca Téléchargements de logiciels et de pilotes | Assistance clientèle HP®)

The microphone can record sounds.
If I connect headphones, I can hear the sounds.
If I link Alexa with my laptop, I can hear the sounds with Alexa.
BUT...the speakers on my laptop don't emit any sound, except for a barely audible noise (beeeeep very little audible) until I completely turn off the sound (this beep then disappears completely).

So what can I do?
I like my headphones...but I'd like to be able to use my laptop speakers too...

Thanks in advance for your precious help!

Hi:

See if this W11 Realtek audio driver works on your model.  Restart the PC after installing the driver.

6.0.9183.1

You may want to create a restore point prior to installing the driver in case this driver makes a bad situation worse.

Create a system restore point (microsoft.com)

That way you should easily be able to revert back to your current configuration's status.

Hello and thank you!
Unfortunately, this did not solve the problem. The sounds still don't work on the laptop speakers, but the sound works on headphones or Bluetooth.
The annoying "beep" can be heard when I use the laptop speakers. When I should normally hear the sounds, the lyrics, the music, there is only a tiny electronic beep.

You're very welcome.

Sorry that driver didn't work for you.

Hopefully, HP will get some W11 drivers released for your notebook's model series soon.
