Hello,

I keep losing internet connection from time to time and I suspect it has something to do with the wireless adapter. I've tried to run a startup diagnostic, but I don't have the "component" option to choose the wireless adapter. The current wireless card can be seen in the attached photo below.

My question is what parameters do I have to keep in mind if I want to buy a new adapter? Would any of these two work:

Thank you in advance.

Hi:

I recommend that you upgrade the card to Wi-Fi 6/6E.

Either of these two cards should work:

Intel AX210 Wi-Fi 6E 2x2 AX + Bluetooth 5.2 M.2 2230 non-vPro   HP part # M27269-005.

Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 ax 2×2 + Bluetooth 5.0 MU-MIMO M.2 2230 non-vPro   HP part # L35282-005.

The antenna wires on M.2 Wi-Fi cards are very thin and delicate.  Use caution when removing them.

Here is the Wi-Fi card removal and replacement service video for your notebook which should be of help to you.

You're very welcome.

All but the last link should work.

The one in the blue box is a vPro card.

You can only use a non-vPro card in a notebook that does not support Intel v-Pro technology.

Look at the SPS number on the card label on the first 3 links you posted.

The SPS # has to match the HP part number (M27269-005) which they do.

If you want the older Wi-Fi 6 Intel AX200, then you need to find a card with the SPS number of L35282-005.

That denotes an Intel AX200 non-vPro model.
