Hello,
I’m using an HP Victus 15 – model fa2701tx and I would like to know the exact TGP (Total Graphics Power) of the RTX 4050 in this laptop. I checked the product page and documentation, but the TGP value is not clearly mentioned anywhere.
Could someone from the community or support team please confirm the official TGP rating (base + boost power) for this model?
This information is important for me to understand the expected gaming and performance capabilities of the laptop.
Thanks in advance!

Welcome to our HP Community forum!
The HP Victus 15-fa2701TX is a popular model in India, but HP does not publish official per-SKU TGP values for laptop GPUs. That is why you won't see the TGP listed in the datasheet or product page.
That said, several HP community threads and the India HP Store listing for this specific model point to the same conclusion:
The RTX 4050 in the Victus 15-fa2701TX is configured for ~50-watt TGP.
This includes the base GPU power plus boost, and it is locked at that level by the system’s firmware/thermal design.
Why this varies:
Laptop RTX-4050 GPUs are offered to manufacturers with a wide allowed TGP range (35-watt – 115-watt).
OEMs such as HP choose the power limit based on the cooling system and power adapter.
The Victus 15 series is designed for moderate thermals, so HP uses the lower-power configuration in this model.
What this means for performance:
A 50-watt RTX 4050 is still very capable for 1080p gaming, especially in Esports and moderately demanding titles. Just keep in mind that it won't match the performance of 75-watt or 100-watt versions found in higher-end Omen or Legion systems, or, of course, in desktop PC models.
How to verify on your own system:
If you want to see the actual power draw live:
You should see the GPU peak around 50-watt under load.
Kind Regards,
