today after an update I started my laptop and I was unable to find the brightness option in the task bar nor in the settings also the shortcut keys were not working even after restarting the laptop

Please uninstall the graphics driver from Device Manager,
To uninstall the graphics driver from Device Manager, follow these steps:
- Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
- Expand the Display adapters section.
- Right-click your graphics driver and select Uninstall device.
- Confirm the uninstallation and then restart your laptop.
Windows will automatically reinstall the driver upon reboot. After restarting, check if the brightness option is available, If this doesn't resolve the issue then please update bios by going to this LINK.
