Hi @ky0

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Advanced BIOS settings on the HP Victus 15-fa0033dx are intentionally limited and cannot be unlocked through conventional means. HP restricts access to deeper BIOS options to protect system integrity.

Thank you for trying everything so far—it’s clear you’ve been thorough, and I understand how frustrating it is when you're seeking more control and nothing seems to respond.

Let’s walk through what’s possible and clarify the boundaries.

What You Can Access in BIOS

To enter BIOS:

  1. Power off your laptop completely.
  2. Press the power button and immediately begin tapping Esc repeatedly.
  3. On the Startup Menu, press F10 to enter BIOS Setup.

Once inside, you’ll see tabs like Main, Security, Configuration, and Boot. These offer basic controls such as:

  • Boot order
  • Secure Boot toggle
  • Virtualization (VT-x)
  • Fan always on
  • Battery health management

However, advanced settings like undervolting, RAM timing, or fan curve control are not exposed on consumer models like the Victus 15-fa0033dx.

Why Advanced BIOS Is Restricted

HP locks down deeper BIOS features to:

  • Prevent accidental misconfiguration
  • Maintain thermal and power safety
  • Ensure warranty compliance and platform stability

These settings are typically available only on business-class or workstation models with enterprise BIOS access.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
