Hi @Gaurav08,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like the recent Windows update may have affected your WiFi settings or driver configuration on your OMEN by HP - 15 laptop. Since the problem is intermittent and occurs only on this device, despite other devices on the same network working fine, here are a few advanced troubleshooting steps to try.

Update WiFi Driver from HP's Support Page

  • Go to the HP website and download the latest WiFi driver specific to your laptop model, rather than relying on Windows Update.
  • HP Support Website → Enter your laptop model → Go to Drivers & Software → Download and install the WiFi driver.
  • Restart your system after installation.

Check Power Management Settings for WiFi Adapter

  • Go to Device Manager → Right-click on your WiFi adapter → Properties.
  • Go to the Power Management tab and uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".
  • Click OK, and restart your PC.

Disable "Fast Startup"

Sometimes, Fast Startup can cause issues with hardware drivers like WiFi.

  • Go to Control PanelPower OptionsChoose what the power buttons doChange settings that are currently unavailable.
  • Uncheck "Turn on fast startup", then save the changes and restart.

Check for Windows Update Rollback

Since the issue started after a Windows update, consider rolling back to a previous version of Windows.

  • Go to SettingsUpdate & SecurityRecoveryGo back to the previous version of Windows 10/11 (if available).

Run DISM and SFC Scan

Corrupted system files might be causing the problem. Run the following commands in an elevated Command Prompt:

  • DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
  • sfc /scannow

These will check and repair any corrupt system files that may be contributing to the problem.

Forget and Reconnect to WiFi

  • Go to SettingsNetwork & InternetWiFiManage known networks.
  • Forget the network you are connected to, then reconnect by entering the password again.

Change DNS Server

Sometimes DNS settings may cause connectivity issues. You can switch to a public DNS like Google’s:

  • Go to Control PanelNetwork and Sharing CenterChange adapter settings.
  • Right-click on your WiFi network → Properties → Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)Properties.
  • Check Use the following DNS server addresses and enter:
    • Preferred DNS server: 8.8.8.8
    • Alternate DNS server: 8.8.4.4
  • Click OK and restart your laptop.

Reset TCP/IP Stack

In case of network issues, resetting the TCP/IP stack might help:

  • Open Command Prompt as Administrator, then type:
    • netsh int ip reset
    • netsh winsock reset
  • Restart your computer afterward.

Test with an External USB WiFi Adapter (if available)

To rule out any hardware failure, if possible, try using an external USB WiFi adapter to check if the issue persists. If the issue stops, it may point to a problem with the internal WiFi adapter.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, you may need to check for any BIOS updates on HP’s support site as well or perform a Windows clean install.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
